It's the twilight of the age of America
In the mirror the eyes of the devil they starin' back at ya'

You always bitchin' that your taxes are too high
But that Bible that you preach don't say an eye for an eye
It says "turn the other cheek, do to the least you do to me
Give your shirt to a stranger and you give it to those in need"

But you won't clothe the needy yea you're too filled with greed
While the schools and roads they crumble, don't give a fuck about their needs
All you have in your heart is your hate
Hidden by the pious, bullshit words that you say

Your god is money, but you say he's divine
Respect for life? But you commitin' the crimes
Class warfare? you brought this fight.

This is the twilight of the age of America

I'll put this in layman's terms we can all understand
About modern economics, AKA, slight of hand
Prepare to get conned, if you ain't already been canned
Since there's billions of us, supply trumps the demand

It's like tryin' to sell countless grains of sands
When you're desperate and starvin', abandoned and stranded
That's not even yours cause you don't hardly own the land
But a mile high mountain of debt in your name still stands

And if cash is a stand in for the work that's been done
And credit's a stand in when you don't have enough
And a vast majority of people up under the sun
Live in substandard conditions, short on funds

While this unmanned machinery continues to run
The tank is on "E" but it still plows through bums
Red blood turns black ink, turns to zeros and ones
It's nothin' plus nothin', til they conjure up sums

The age of America was an age of hysteria
A land supposedly free, adding more limits and barriers
"Transparent limited government?"
Always corrupted, expanding grey area

Now we're in the decline as the skies rain barium
But no one is fearin' it,
Turnin' a blind eye to what is clear to us
Like our enormous deficit bound to collapse and bury us

Swing low, sweet chariot, I'll take my own weight and carry it
As I write this narrative,
I'll let you know that I'll fight to the end, period
"Why so serious," they say, let me ask, "Why so delirious?"
Aren't you curious?

You think I just make this up just to shake things up?
Liberty should be sacred to us,
But everyone grows ashamed of true patriots
We used to be proud to be free, man this shit is ate up

So we hope and change what? For candidates to save us
Votin' thieves into office just for them to betray us
Presidential debates? HA! Just mere entertainment
Now we've got two choices, enslavement or detainment
